The Panlos Inbrixx 881101 review: a licensed modular-style Teddy Coffee House set with 1381 pieces, three minifigures, and tons of prints.

In collaboration with the Teddy Bear Collection licensor (SKYNET), Panlos has created a unique set here. This is not sold under the Panlos brand but via the sub-brand Inbrixx, where other Teddy sets have already been released in recent years.

Panlos Inbrixx 881101 Review

My wallet kindly sponsored the Panlos Inbrixx 881101 set and, thus, its non-sponsored review. I bought the set from Yourwoob for around 40€. The delivery was fast.

As you probably know from your experiences with Chinese shops, it arrives in a big brown box with many small plastic bags. Very unspectacular without an original box. It’s time for the key points of this set.

The Teddy Coffee House consists of five construction phases and 163 steps. Each step is illustrated in detail in the paper instructions.

This is in large format but summarizes just a few steps on one page, often leading to free space. More extensive representations would have been possible here. But this one has a lovely special feature.

Panlos Inbrixx 881101 review

Panlos Inbrixx does not use normal white paper for it but has branded every page with the Teddy Bear Collection logos. Very cute. In contrast, the included sheet with eight stickers is not cute.

However, there are a huge number of prints that make you forget about the stickers.

Minifigures (Teddyfigs)

Three super cute minifigures are also included. Or should I call them Teddy figs? Newly designed minifigures were developed especially for this Teddy series. You have to assemble these.

All have high-quality prints and accessories. In the Panlos Inbrixx 881101 set, you get a barista with a black cap, a baker with a cooking hood, and a customer. The latter can also be a detective, as he looks like.

Minifigures

The figures can also be attached to the back. You can also see the licensor’s name on the back of the torso. You have to assemble these. From the child’s perspective, they are a little fiddly in places but look super cute when finished. Great minifigs.

Ground Floor

Let’s start with the overview of the ground floor. This is built from two construction phases and multiple bags. The construction was easygoing and pleasant to do. A highlight is the terrace, tiled in light bluish-gray and has tables, chairs, and two parasols.

The color mixture is particularly successful here. The dark green, white, and brown tones harmonize perfectly here and make the terrace very realistic.

Ground Floor

The doors and the right window have very high-quality printing. However, a downer is a large banner that adorns the entrance, a large sticker over several tiles.

A 180-degree turn later, and we can open the building and look inside.

Ground Floor

A highlight is the wall that must be opened to enter the interior. In addition to small details, you will find a beautiful printed bear tile and a trans-clear bear. Super cute.

Ground Floor

The interior is also designed with great attention to detail. It looks very realistic. There are no tiles on the floor. But a sea of prints. On the right is the counter area where the barista works; on the left is the “bear,” customers’ customer space.

There are two tables with chairs in the middle. I think the proportions are a bit too big compared to the bears.

Ground Floor

On the right is the counter, which has everything a barista’s heart desires. A sticker-based menu card characterizes it.

There is also a coffee machine and a counter with a beautiful printed display packed with printed mini cakes. It’s just as detailed on the wall with a croissant and more.

Ground Floor

Directly opposite is the salon, where the bears can drink their coffee and eat pastries. In addition to the furniture, there are also some nice details with prints.

Panlos has done a lot right here with the interior. It’s adorable, harmonious and transports me straight to one of the many modern coffee shops. LEGO can take a cue from the stunning amount of original prints you see on the ground floor alone.

First Floor

Our journey continues to the first floor of the Teddy Cafe House /Teddy Healing Cafe (881101). It remains eye-catching. This was built from bags 3 and 4.

Part quality was very high, and the construction was almost hassle-free. The brown tones were difficult to distinguish in the instructions. Here, you had to look two or three times before building it.

Floor 1

When building, it became apparent early on that the first floor needed to be better lined. Panlos Inbrixx only uses one plate layer, quickly buckling in many places. But you can quickly secure it with plates from your own parts warehouse.

The first floor comprises a living room-like book club and a bakery/candy shop. A matching Teddy Bear minifigure is included, as seen.

Plus, the first floor is surrounded by a railing in a matching dark and olive green. Harmonizes perfectly with brown and especially cream/yellow bricks. On the far right, the designers also include a staircase to get to the terrace.

Floor 1

An eye-catcher is the open book club with lots of matt gold elements It is characterized by a beautifully built shelf and a brick-built yellow armchair. This also supports some lovely prints.

But one thing would make marketing the set in Europe, especially Germany, difficult. It includes a golden micro-figure that LEGO protects.

Things get sweet in the front area. Here, you go into the bakery/confectionery shop. In front of the door, you will find a little ice cream truck—nothing fancy but matching detail. The door, as well as the window, have lovely prints.

Bakery

As with the ground floor, the back of the candy store can also be opened. So children can play with it very easily.

The embedded wood stove with matching furniture, all refined with prints, are highlights of the candy store/bakery. There are also smaller decorative elements on the left side. A sticker also sneaked into the store.

A lovely, charming first floor. Perfect for playing as well as exploring

Second Floor/Terrace

The terrace is the last floor of the Panlos Inbrixx 881101 Teddy Coffe House. This is a little simpler but is also very lovingly designed. A matching Teddy minifigure has already made himself comfortable to enjoy his free time.

Floor 2 Terrace

You can get lots of greenery, a ready-to-eat picnic, and a romantic, printed brick-built swing. A chain of lights rounds off the terrace beautifully. It doesn’t have a light kit built in, which would have been a nice add-on.

Floor 2 Terrace

The roof also fits nicely with the entire set. The side flowers were a bit of an annoying thing. You need a bit of finesse to attach these. Once done, the roof or terrace is another lovely element of this set that integrates seamlessly into the entire set.

Panlos Inbrixx 881101 Review Conclusion

What a gem of an alternative set. I can’t take my eyes off it. The 881101 set is a beautifully designed modular building with high-quality parts and many details, using newly created prints and custom minifigures.

It’s one of those sets that shows what’s possible in the non-LEGO world. No inspiration, no stolen MOC; it is a 100% original and unique design. I particularly enjoy the size of the set.

Panlos Inbrixx 81101 Review

With 1381 pieces, it’s not too small, but it’s not a massive set, either. It is ideal for adults to display or for children to play with. It has the qualities for both target groups.

The set also has weaknesses: the plaits of the floors are not padded, which makes playing a bit unstable. Some details have also been solved with stickers. But these points don’t make the set any worse.

Panlos Inbrixx 881101 review

It remains an absolute highlight and one of the most beautiful, eye-catching sets I have ever assembled.
